FARM ANIMALS

La Ferme de Blanc is home to a variety of farm animals. During late May and early June, guests have the opportunity to see newborn lambs, goslings, chicks, and ducklings.

The farm strives to raise its livestock naturally, without the use of hormones or antibiotics. All the animals are allowed to roam freely  and are given high quality grain and hay.

The farm's flock of sheep are of the Noire du Velay breed, an ancient and rustic breed native to southern France. Massif Central goats roam the farm's mountains and provide the inn's goat cheese, a speciality of Ardèche. Muscovy ducks, Embden geese, and three breeds of chickens - Cream Legbar, Langshan, and Sussex - wander the acreage.
